Belting out the best

Belting out the best

CASUAL BELTS
A plain t-shirt and jeans can be jazzed up with a funky belt.. Since 1952, Ascot Formal Wear has provided quality tuxedos and formal wear to dealers across the cFromal Tuxedos and all types of formal wear for your occasion. Clubbing or a casual day at college, belts with jeans definitely make a style statement. "Fat belts with interesting copper or silver buckles sparkle up the denim look," says accessory designer Sangita Chudiwala. A word of caution here, many people tend to overmatch their outfit with their accessories including belts.

FORMAL BELTS
Whoever said that corporate dressing must be staid. If you are somewhat clueless about how to team them with your outfits, we have expert help at hand. “Like with bags one must ensure that the day and evening wear belts are distinct. For the evenings pick belts in metallic shades like gold or bronze that have slightly formal buckles and fabric”, says designer Anita Dongre.

BELTS ON TUNICS/ T-SHIRTS
Wearing belts on monochromatic kurtas or t-shirts helps break the monotony. Ensure that the belts teamed with tunics are funky. "Belts made up of colourful chords or beads look really nice on tunics, they lend a very traditional look," says Dongre. "You can also use long necklaces and wind them around your waist for a touch of drama.

SKIRT BELTS
Belts on skirts exude femininity. "Tie-up belts are apt for skirts; they can be zardosi embroidered or stone-embedded," says accessory designer Meera Mahadevia. But ensure that you juxtapose sensibly.. There are ways to get what you want.If you care enough for prom dresses, make a little step, and make a better choice. If you have a richly done up belt, ensure that the skirt is under-stated. A plain white or black skirt would be apt to be teamed with a belt made of semi-precious stones. "An ethnic belt on a western skirt creates a fusion look," says Mahadevia.

DRESS BELTS
An upcoming trend is the chest-belt worn with dresses. An ornately done belt worn on a chiffon or satin dress in an empire line cut can uplift the outfit. "Thin belts with heavy diamantes or metal studs embedded on them are in vogue," says Chudiwala. But should you wish to go casual than thick belts with beads or pearls also fit in.

SAREE BELTS
Belts for sarees can be traced back to the concept of kamarbandh,. For spring, Max Azria gives us the signature herve leger bandage dress in bright hues and strapless editions. worn on the lower waist. "A saree belt has to be restricted to a semi-precious belt, it looks sensuous and highlights the waistline," says Mahadevia.. We are proud to say that we offer beautiful bridesmaid dresses! We'll do our best for you! A saree belt should have stones matching directly or contrasting with the colours of the saree to complete the look.
