Isn't it strange how often wedding dresses are so revealing in terms of the shoulders not being covered? Brides look as though they are headed for some kind of party. Trust me i am not a prude but it somehow seems like a wedding dress should have a wee bit more decorum and that includes all the white house brides except for the very early ones. It was a simple dress as was the veil which in the catholic church in the old days was required to cover the hair. And her hair was so elegant not that usual curly stuff that seems to be the usual style. She does look so happy in the photos - a beautiful smile and no doubt a beautiful wedding. Warmest wishes for them.Ms. Horyn completely missed all the "style" hints that are on plain view in the photos. Her speculations on what Chelsea's dress was "saying" about Chelsea's style vs. her mother's were vapid and ridiculous; her comments about the Clinton women's hair issues were just dumb.
Chelsea's dress and her hairstyle were reflective of her years of ballet training and performance. The bodice of the dress was simple, soft,. Whether you are going on your honeymoon, want to reignite your love with your husband or having a Sexy Lingerie makes your perfect companions. and graceful and showed off Chelsea's neck and shoulders in the way that a ballet costume would do. Her hair swept completely off her face was pure ballerina style. Clearly, Vera Wang worked closely with Chelsea to fashion precisely the right look for a graceful young woman who has danced on stage and loves the ballet.

Also the writer seems to be blissfully unaware that in a Jewish ceremony the bride wears a veil that covers her face. Ivanka had an Orthodox Jewish service and the body must be covered and the arms have to be covered at least to right below the elbow. Her dress was dictated by religious modesty and therefore she was covered. The same is true for Grace Kelley's dress and Carolyn Bessette's dress. Kelly and Bessette were both married in a Cathedral where the same modest dress is required of a bride as is in the Jewish tradition.
If the author had done a little research,. To have a beautiful Custom wedding dresses is a dream of brides. it would have gone a long way.
Chelsea was not married in a house of worship,. Attending a big wedding party, black cocktail dresses must be your best choice. so she was free to choose a more contemporary style that allowed for showing of skin. Her veil is part of a religious tradition. Chelsea wore the veil to honor her husband's religious tradition. It is very symbolic.
As for critiquing the dress, the laser cut silk on the front of the dress is "cutting edge" design,(no pun intended). The fabric mimicked the flowers that were in the bridal bouquet. It was very creative,original and pretty. The dress suited Chelsea very well.
