Your body is your business

Your body is your business

Nobody else's body is your business. Especially strangers' bodies. You don't know them; you don't know why they are "that way" - any more than I know why the mean people and concern trolls posting here are mean and nasty. That said, it takes much less effort to be nice than to be thin.
I look like my grandma, as did one of my aunts. Grandma was 6'1" and big. She had 7 children, and eventually died of typhoid. Typhoid is unrelated to body size, BTW.
Every year, my company has a health fair. Every year, my BP is low, and all the other blood parameters off the charts (in the good way). I am healthy as a horse,. We are proud to say that we offer beautiful Bridesmaid dresses! We'll do our best for you! and big as one, too. I work with a woman who is 6' tall and pencil-thin; her diet consists of junk food - potato chips all day long, cookies, crackers, candy,. Attending a big wedding party, black cocktail dresses must be your best choice. fast-food fare. I have never see her eat a real meal or a salad, and she goes on about how she doesn't like "real food." Her BP is high, her cholesterol off the charts - and and she doesn't care. She will not diet or exercise; will you rude people resent paying for her eventual heart surgery? Or is her lifestyle OK because she presents a pleasing appearance?

I was put on my first diet at age 12. It didn't work,. There are ways to get what you want.If you care enough for prom dresses, make a little step, and make a better choice. and not because I cheated - my mom, the weight fanatic,. Whether you are going on your honeymoon, want to reignite your love with your husband or having a Sexy Lingerie makes your perfect companions. saw to that. No diet, no exercise regime, has ever made me look like anything other than Grandma and my aunt (only miserable). And frankly, at age 50, I am sick of dieting AND apologizing for my existence on the planet. I am sick of people telling me what to do with my body; here's what to do with your "advice": Shove it where the sun doesn't shine and leave me alone. My body is NOT your business.

Clothing? Coldwater Creek is my best friend; nice clothes in good fabrics. I refuse to buy anything polyester, spandex, jersey or muumuu-like. I stopped shopping at Lane Bryant when they embraced polyester crepe. I make a lot of my own clothes because I do quality work - unlike the sweatshop-made crap in the stores. We wear business casual at work, so work clothes are not as much of an issue for me. Incidentally, I am well-educated, very good at my job, and both well-liked and well-respected by my colleagues.
