Miss Batchelor, 28, and her fiance Aaron Wells, 32, will marry at 5pm - just as the procession begins on Newmarket Road. After the wedding the couple, who live together on Stanley Avenue, Thorpe, will leave the Cathedral and join the floats as they pass at about 6.20pm.
Miss Batchelor said: “When we booked the wedding we had the choice of 1pm or 5pm, and we wanted to have a James Bond wedding with the guests in tuxedos and evening dresses, so we booked the later slot.
“It wasn't until later that we found out about the parade.”The moment of realisation came when the couple read an article in the Evening News discussing the changed time for the procession, which will begin at 5pm this year rather than 6pm.Proud father of the bride Dave Batchelor, 58, said: “If it had run an hour later there wouldn't have been a problem - but as it is we realised we would be leaving just as the parade went past.”Miss Batchelor said: “At first I was really upset - I cried.
